I’ve already reblogged(?) this album in the past, though I still decided to create a post about it, because it felt necessary to me.

“This album was written and created over the course of a year, with about a dozen musicians each contributing a small piece. Sometimes loud and intense, sometimes meandering and ambient, the album shifts slowly around, showcasing particular contributions at a time. Rather than having steady members with concrete parts or writing with other people, it was more of a collaborative effort in the sense that we wrote by sending samples and loops back and forth.”

The description of the album on Bandcamp which improved my experience with the album as a whole by quite a lot. The tone shifts all feel incredibly natural, it feels like every moment and every transition of it was carefully planned. The way this album developed into what it is, is interesting, to say the least, and definitely unique, and this paid off in the end. Its distinct sound is one of the many parts I enjoyed about this album, on top of its skillful songwriting and execution.

It also sampled 3 of my favorite TV shows – Trailer Park Boys, Steven Universe and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which is always a big plus.

It’s free on Bandcamp, though purchase is highly encouraged: https://flowerpotrecords.bandcamp.com/album/shuffling-dust
